61686584_10158538648319972_8492848436821884928_o.jpg

Holy shit, I'm doing a solo sketch show! I guess the best way to deal with my real life midlife crisis is by hosting a sketch comedy show filled with a ton of sad bastards, and I'm not one of them!

Directed by Hunter Nelson

This is a SPANK at UCB Theatre, meaning it is an audition for a run at the theatre! If you've ever thought, "Hey, maybe I should check out one of Jason's shows" THIS is the one to check out.

This is the first time I've done a solo show and it would mean the damn world if you came out!

Paired with "Everyone Lives At The End."

Your New Favorite Movie

  • Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Erin Fenton has a fantastic show where she interviews someone about their favorite type of movie, and this month - SHE INTERVIEWED ME! I’m not giving up the ghost as to the type of movie this will be, but I think you can possibly figure it out based on this fantastic cast? Either way, come to this show.

Seriously. I know there are a lot of comedy shows in New York City, but don’t you want to come to one where you’ll actually have fun? OH SHIT! SICK BURN, JASON! Also, you get the added bonus of a character set from ME and stand-up from one of my favorite comedians, Fareeha Kahn.

———-

Why go to the movies when you can go to a live movie sketch show starring fake real celebrities? Every month, Erin Fenton interviews a comedian about their favorite films and compresses everything movie trope they love into a live comedy show performed by celebrity impressionists.

Cast:

Cian Smith as Hugh Grant
Tristan Griffin as Colin Firth

Brittany Lee McDonald as Emily Blunt

Lauren Clark as Catherine Tate
Marina Gasparyan as Nicolas Cage AND John Cusack
with:

Standup from Fareeha Khan

Flying Blind is a sketch show where the actors don't see their scripts until the moment they're on stage. Every show is rehearsal one and opening night! Even the audience isn't safe and could be directed to scream, stomp, cheer, boo, or even be part of the show! Sketch and improv had a fugly baby and it's The Flying Blind Sketch Show.

All Is Forgiven: A Non-Religious Show About Religion

Want to confess? If not, how about hearing others do it? On a stage. Join some of New York's best performers and storytellers for a show about how belief runs deep in everyone's lives.

Religion guides some on how to live, who to marry, afterlife planning, and decides whether or not you can be president. So let's all get together to see some good folks divulge personal anecdotes about the impact of religion on their lives. This show is not aimed at converting, convincing, or destroying, just relating. Whether it's positive, negative, or somewhere in between (purgatory?) this is a show for anyone who wants some catharsis in a world where everything you do seems wrong.

Featuring*:
David Goldberg (Time Out New York, EW)
Jason Gore (Best Show, Difficult People)
Sandi Marx (PBS, Moth StorySLAM)
Mary Houlihan (Difficult People, The Chris Gethard Show)
*Lineups subject to change.
